Patrons enjoy the venue’s warm and welcoming vibe, thanks to Anibha, their host who cheerfully greets guests. Whilst Anibha takes care of customers, head chef Virender Pal Singh manages the kitchen developing new recipes and planning the menu according to the taste of their patrons.

Chef Virender has many years working in the kitchen, having been a Master Chef in Bukhara Restaurant at Sheraton Hotel in India in the 1980s, before joining Bukharas in Hong Kong and finally moving to Sydney.

Popular dishes here include Crispy Samosa, a Homemade pastry filled with mildly spiced potato and peas accompanied with dips, Chilli Tikka Masala (Tandoori chicken simmered with roasted onions, fresh coriander, fresh chillies, ginger and shallots) and Lamb Rogan Josh, a traditional Kashmiri delicacy of slow cooked lamb cubes accentuated with cardamom.

They have Tandoori breads or naan, which is a leavened flatbread traditionally baked inside a very hot clay tandoor oven. They come in many flavours, from garlic and pudina (mint) to cheese and keema, which is filled with meat.

Many of the items on the menu use coconut, with dishes such as Nariyal beef, a beef curry in rich coconut sauce; zhinga coconut mashala – tiger prawns in tomato sauce with coconut cream; and Khatte Baingan (Pan fried sliced eggplant enhanced with tamarind and broiled coconut).

Bijolias is a fully licensed restaurant and allows BYO for wines. They are open for dine-in from Monday to Saturday, 5:00-10:00 p.m. Follow Bijolias on Facebook for updates.
