Calling all early childhood educators and teachers! Now is your chance to help children “speak to a computer” by understanding how it works.

Join the STEM Computer Science Workshop of Little Scientists in Seaforth on 29 July 2019 and engage in enquiry-based and age-appropriate STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) activities that will allow you to encourage daily scientific exploration among your students.

Little Scientists is hosting the STEM Computer Science Workshop at the Seaforth Village Community Centre, from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The facilitator for this workshop is Ms Lena Hammond, one of Little Scientists’ trainers.

Get ready to explore algorithms, sequencing, and sorting playfully without using a desktop computer. With hands-on activities during the workshop, each participant will get to learn and understand the fundamentals of computational thinking. By uncovering these basic computational concepts, participants will then get to learn how they will apply it in their own respective settings.

The workshop allows each individual to engage with other like-minded early childhood educators. In this sense, you get to reflect on your current status as an educator as well as collect new ideas that can help you further enhance your skills in practice.
